Assessment Department's Role are as follows:
- Assessing all real property within the village.
- Preparing and maintaining the assessment rolls, tax rolls, and tax bills.
- Identifying and valuing properties for tax purposes.
- Maintaining property records, including ownership and address information.
- Administering and managing exemptions and other tax-related matters.
- Finalizing the assessment roll by April 1st each year.
- Two copies needed when filing Grievance and Small Claims.
